Bennion (1979 - 1982) | | Served: 1980 - 1981 | | Language(s) spoken:French | Areas Served: Lausanne, Clermont-Ferrand, Lyon, Nice and Dijon | Companions: Lisa Adams (Ramsey) | Cynthia Johnson (Jellison) | | Your Occupation: full time mom | | Spouse: Kyle Vanderstel | Comments: Where to begin, I have a "yours, mine and ours" family. I have been married to my husband Kyle for 14 years and we had Tyler who is 12 years old, very active and full of fun! My 1st marriage was to Steve Munden (We divorced in 1987 and Steve died in Sept. 1992) we had Erick who is now on a mission in Orlando, FL and loving his mission as much as his mother loved hers. Kyle has two children from his 1st marriage Kees (22) and Kelsey (20), and I love them both. I am now past my 5 year mark as a breast cancer survivor and feel Heavenly Father has been there with me and my family the whole way. After 3 years as the Relief Society President in the ward, I was called as the Young Women's President and am beginning to convert over to the "pink" side! (After being with my boys - it was an adjustment, but I love it.) I guess things didn't turn out the way I thought they would - truth be told, most of them have turned out better. I am so grateful for the gospel in my life and for the great blessing I feel a mission was for me. I have felt Heavenly Father's love many times and know without Him I wouldn't have tried so hard. I have been blessed with a great husband, wonderful children and terrific friends. So, in the fashion of Sister Bennion, I wish you happy days, fond memories and pleasure to enjoy the simple things! |
