| Comments: After returning home, I attended college at the University of Oklahoma. I received a B.A. and a Master's there. After that I spent 5 years in the Navy. I currently work for the U.S. Army and am at the tail end of a Ph.D program and should either complete it soon or be expelled one of the two. I was finally married in 2002 after 20 years of looking. I'll admit it was a little bit of a struggle to find someone and I ran into a few road blocks along the way, but I never took them very lightly. My wife is a non-member and although she is still a nonmember after 9 years ... we've been going to church together every Sunday since before we were married .... although we may have missed once or twice. We have a daughter Sara 7yrs and a son Noah 4 years. I enjoy looking thrugh the missionary profiles and knowing how everyone is doing. A few of the names I recognize were my companions but I also recognize alot of other names of people that I was able to serve with indirectly and I am glad that I was able to serve and get to know them. I owe my successes in life to the church and to the good people I have met and associated with through the church. I had hoped to go to the last mission reunion but had just come back from a long trip and wasn't able to make it back then. But I haven't forgotten the mission leaders and the great people I met and hope to see some of them again someday. | |
