I. NAME AND BOUNDARY CHANGES During a special Sacrament Meeting on Sunday, February 26, 2006, the following changes were made to the names and boundaries of the three French-speaking wards in Geneva. Elder Gaag presided at this meeting which was attended by members of all three wards. These changes were made by the First Presidency, taking into account the proposal submitted by the Geneva Switzerland Stake Presidency by way of the Europe West Area Presidency. They were unanimously sustained by the members of the three wards. GENEVE RIVE DROITE WARD covers the area on the right bank (to your right when facing in the direction of the flow of water from Lake Geneva to the River Rhone). The ward is bound by Lake Geneva, the River Rhone, the French-Swiss border, and the Lausanne Stake border. (The Geneva Stake Center is located within the boundaries of the Geneve Rive Droite Ward, but will continue to serve all four wards in Geneva). GENEVE SALEVE WARD covers the area below (south of) the River Rhone and the River Arve. (Note: The River Arve flows into the River Rhone). The ward is bound by the River Rhone, the River Arve, and the French-Swiss border in the south. GENEVE RIVE GAUCHE WARD covers the area on the left bank. The ward is bound by Lake Geneva, the French-Swiss border, and the River Arve. GEX WARD boundaries remain unchanged. ANNEMASSE WARD no longer includes the adjacent communes on the Swiss side of the border. Otherwise, the ward boundaries remain unchanged. GENEVA WARD boundaries and membership remain unchanged.
