| Comments: Ia ora na outou! My Tahitian name was Ioane. I served on Tahaa with Brian Ke Oliver and Glenn Shields, Raiatea with George Baker, Faaone and Hitiaa with Teariki a Noho and Gerard Jugant, Makatea and Tubuai with Ray Sumner, Moorea with Virapura Parsons and Rene Teriipaia, and Papeete with Allen Faratini Short plus a few others, and spent the summer of '64 back there translating lesson manuals with Pres. Stone. I think of all of you often. In June, 2003, our entire family (wife, 4 children and spouses) had the trip of a lifetime to Tahiti. Still almost as beautiful as ever, but different. I felt so fortunate to have served a mission there back in the anotau tahito. My life has never been the same. | |
