| Comments: Harland Hayes (June 97-June 99) I loved my time in the Tahiti Papeete mission. President Munanui was a wonderful mission president, and I had great companions. I served in Faa'a, Tubuai, Rurutu, Papenoo, Hao, and Pirae during my 2 years in French Polynesia. My wife and I went back about 3 years after my mission, and it was amazing. I have a deep love for the Savior, His Gospel, my companions, the people we served and taught, and the islands themselves. My wife and I have a 3 year old boy, Cannon, and a 1 year old boy, Henry. Being a husband and father is incredible. It is the greatest joy I've every felt. I had the blessing of teaching two powerful Elders in the MTC a few years ago, Elders Page and Kempton. They have since returned home. I went to the University of Utah for my undergraduate and medical school education, and I am currently a ER doctor in North Carolina, finishing the last few years of my training. I love what I do.
