Comments:
* Duane Shoemaker (1979-1981) and served in Bora Bora, Avera, Fareatai, Haapu, Fare, Rangiroa, Ahe, Manahi, and Hitiaa. My last three days of my mission was spent in Papeete during the dedication and ground breaking of the Tahiti temple with Pres. Spencer Kimble. It is amazing how time does fly by. It's been over 26 years since I left the mission field. Sometimes it seems like just yesterday that I was saying goodbye to all my tahitian friends. I currently live in the Columbus, Ohio area with my wife Teri. Our oldest daughter was married in the Oakland Temple this past year and lives in the Sacramento area. What a blessing it is to see your children married in the temple. My youngest is attending college and is doing great with all her responsibilities. I continue to work as an instructional designer for JP Morgan Chase, while my wife teaches at the local high school. Life has been good to us over the years and we have been blessed with two wonderful children. As empty nesters, we enjoy our three dogs and working in the yard. I want to wish all my fellow companions well and that I really do look back on our times in the mission field with very fond memories. A Faaitoito! Dshoema822@aol.com
