Hawaii is a beautiful place! You shan hou hai, kind of like Hua Lien or Keelung. The cockroaches also bring back memories. Some of the best blessings of working at BYU-Hawaii are the students from all over the Pacific Basin, including Taiwan, Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland.
Our most recent (and only!) return to Taiwan was in '06 with a 50 Year Reunion Tour Group that visited the Beijing, Guilin, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. Kristy especially liked the jumping fish in Keelung and the food just about everywhere in the Mainland. The Hong Kong and Taiwan temples were great highlights. |
