My wife and I joined the group coordinated by Mike Shumway and went back to Taiwan in August 2006 for the 50th reunion of missionary work in Taiwan. It was my first time back since my mission and our experience was priceless and space limitations do not allow me to begin to record our feelings. The country had changed so much and so had the presence of the church. The reunion celebrations in Taipei and Chang Hwa were incredible and the spirit was so strong as we witnessed the testimonies and faith of today's members. It was wonderful to attended a session in the Taipei Temple and to know that generations of families who have been "waiting" are now having their work done! |
