My wife and I went to Taiwan for the 50 year celebration. We decided early on that one week was not enough, so we made arrangements to stay for two weeks. We are glad we made this change. We were busy nearly every hour of every day. We were able through the efforts of Brother Tan, (West Taipei Stake Patriarch. Taught he and his wife with John Vance), to meet up with a total of four people I had been involved in teaching, including brother and sister Tan, as well as a few of my old friends I had as a missionary.

Our experience was one of the most incredible of my life. It ranks right up there with going on my mission, getting married and having a family.

We took over 1,000 photos while we were there.

Now I am writing to some of my dear friends there through email. This has also been a blessing to me. It has been so hard in the past to stay in contact with those in Taiwan.

I miss Taiwan and my friends, (Taiwan family), and I can only hope to go back again some day.

We also had a good time visiting with others who went back to Taiwan for the festivities.
