Comments:
I think often of my time in Taiwan. I learned to love the island and the people -- and I learned more about myself, my God, and my Savior than in any other church calling I've ever had.

I've had callings as Ward Mission Leader, Stake Missionary, ward clerk, membership clerk, financial clerk, Elder's Quorum counselor, genealogy teacher, Asst Stake Librarian (Media), and probably a few others I should remember.

After a four-month rest from my last Stint at Ward Clerk, I was called as membership clerk in my new Ward. After about a years' work, we've just about got the records in shape.

Just in time for a new ward to be created, and for me to be called as the asst ward clerk, financial. I'm slowly learning FIS (the last time I had this calling was PRE-FIS, is you can imagine it). Another few years, and I should feel comfortable.

In my copious spare time, I volunteer as a Paramedic on our local rescue squad, and also serve as a ground pounder in the regional search-and-rescue organization.
