Comments:
My companions were, in order:
1) David (Randy) Rynearson - SLC Mission Home 2) David Jenkins - Port Arthur 3) Ralph Hok - Port Arthur 4) Paul Wolfley - Northeast Houston 5) Lex Olson - NE Houston 6) Ronnie Randall - NE Houston 7) Ron Evans - NE Houston 8) Tony Graham - Spring Branch. Yes, I only had three areas and stayed in NE Houston for 18 months. I joined the Church in July '75 at 18 years of age after finding a BOM in a motel in Massachusetts. I had been searching for the Church who could answer my three questions: 1) Where is the Church organized and patterned after the one's Jesus and Moses presided over (i.e. apostles, prophets, seventies, etc.)?, 2) How are those taught who didn't get the opportunity to hear the gospel message here in mortality?, and 3) How long does marriage and family last? (I knew the answer to the third question, I just needed to find the Church because I knew they'd have the right answer.) I joined after Heavenly Father confirmed to me the Church was true and Joseph Smith was indeed His prophet and the book he had translated was correct. I married Mary Couchon from Simsbury, Connecticut in '93 two months after we had met. She also joined the Church at 18 and served a mission to Coventry and Birmingham, England. Mary home schools our 5 children (16 - 9) and assists me with the business we operate from our home ( www.stright.com ). Just last year I flew out west to attend Pres. Merrill's 90th birthday. I spent nice long weekend with Elder David Phelon and his wonderful mother. I consider that experience to have been my 9th mission companionship. This fall we attended, as an entire family, Mary's mission reunion in Alpine, Utah. This summer we plan a family vacation to Nauvoo, Illinois (which I can then check off my bucket list).
