So I am a week away from entering the MTC and I can hardly wait to hit the fields of the Texas-Houston Mission. I am humbled at the privilege I have to serve this very people and our Father in Heaven for "so great a cause". I am excited to teach, love and bring forth the children of men to the sweet joy His gospel brings. I love and revere the Prophet Joseph Smith. I am so thankful for his earnest curiosity and worthiness as he led the restoration of the Lord's church back onto the earth. Even for bringing forth and translating another testament of Jesus Christ which is the Book of Mormon. I believe the Book of Mormon to be the most correct book on the face of the earth. I know its teachings are true. I know it is of ancient prophets of old whose messages were set out for our dispensation. It is for this purpose, that I will serve my Master for the space of 18 months with all my "heart, might, mind and strength". I will strive to search, find and rescue the souls of those whom have been lost, as His servants have rescued me. For I believe our Heavenly Father loves us so much He has paved a way for us and our families to return to Him. And although, I know I can never fully encompass the love that our Father in Heaven and Savior has for each and everyone of us, I know that it is real. I desire that all, whom I will meet, will feel the power of Their pure and divine love that they might know my message speaks eternal truths. This is my simple testimony and prayer in the sacred name of our Savior, even Jesus Christ, Amen. |
