Married Elaine Scott on August 14, 1993, in the Salt Lake Temple. Our daughter, Rachel Olivia, was born on January 20, 1997. Our son, Samuel Paul, was born March 1, 2003.
Graduated from BYU in Aug 1990 in Classical Greek and Latin. Completed M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Ancient History at the University of Pennsylvania. Assistant Professor of Classics and Ancient History, specializing in Greek & Roman history, 1994-2003. Transferred to Ancient Scripture fall 2003 to work in New Testament and Early Christian studies. Elaine graduated from BYU in Theater and has an M.S. in Arts Administration from Drexel. Worked as a fundraiser for the LDS Foundation 1995-2004, now at home full-time.
Served as the bishop of the North Park First Ward from 1996 until mid 2002. Currently serves as an ordinance worker in the Provo Temple and as a member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. After working in stake young women's and primary, Elaine is now Mia Miad advisor in our ward. |
