I lived in Bangkok during the Vietnam war, from 1967 to 1972. I gradutated from the International School of Bangkok. I met the first missionaries to be called to Bangkok, including President White. I also went to school with Kim Larson who later returned to Bangkok as a missionary. He gave me my first Book of Mormon. I was baptized after I returned to the US in Boise, in 1973 and left two years later for my mission, Rochester, NY. I live in Boise now with my 22 yr old son and my cat, Loki. I have fond memories of my time in Bangkok. I returned to Bangkok in 2002 and was able to attend church one Sunday at the English speaking branch. I also went to school with the Elderige family. |
