The Great Thai Flood of 2011 24 Oct 2011
The worst Flooding in 50 years is hitting Bangkok this week. Most of Ayuthata province is under water. Many areas in Nonthaburi province have some flooding. See latest news at the Bangkok Post.

Many "industrial estates" north of Bangkok have been flooded and are sitting idle waiting for the flood waters to receed which will probably take another 6 weeks. The new park and ride garage being built north of the city is all under water.

This all began when the monsoon rains went crazy in the northern part of the country well over a month ago. The flood waters have now reached the capital city. The death toll (mostly up country is approaching 400).
