Christmas 2008 25 Dec 2008
Dear Missionaries, Members, and Friends,
We have had a great time posting pictures, videos, and written material on our blog and facebook. We have been overwhelmed with the response from missionaries and members with regard to the facebook postings. We would encourage all missionaries to get out their old photos and post them on facebook. We have loved looking at some of the pictures that have already been posted. We send a lot of time looking at the new pictures that are posted by members in Ukraine. We love seeing pictures of branch parties and the new facilities in Ukraine. We would love to see more. President and Sister Fry and Elder and Sister Kinghorn have blog sites that keep us up to date on the happenings in the Ukraine Donetsk Mission. We can’t find much other than the Facebook site for the Dneper mission and we kind of feel left out on what is going on in that mission. I’ll try and get some information from the church mission department concerning the cities and boundaries of the missions in Ukraine.
We want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and we hope that the New Year will bring joy to everyone. We pray every day for the missionaries who have served and are serving in Ukraine. We pray that the Lord will bless the members in Ukraine. We pray for the missionary effort and that the church will be able to grow in the Europe East Area. We want to thank the missionaries for their service and the members for their dedication. We have all been blessed to have served with the best and the brightest in the best mission in the entire Kingdom. As always, the church was true yesterday, it will be truer tomorrow, and it just keeps getting “truer” as confirmed by President Monson now leading the church.

Elder Chernich emailed me this morning about an apartment blast in Yevpatoria. There is a lot of information on google about this incident. I found it under "Yevpatoria blast".
