Presidents: Dale E. Miller (1979 - 1982) | Paul Lloyd (1982 - 1984) | Served: 1980 - 1982 | Areas Served: Valencia, Barquisimeto, Maracay, Palo Verde | Companions: Wes Kidd | Your Occupation: chemistry professor | Spouse: Diane | Comments: I miss the Malta and the people most, not necessarily in that order. The people were wonderful. Elder Chase and I covered Nagua Nagua in Valencia. We always ate out in member's and investigators homes and we hitchhiked everywhere we went! The Hoffmans and Vergueses were wonderful. In Barquis, teaching was hard. Elders Gardner, Shaw and I had a great time, except when Gardner fell in that manhole one night. In Maracay Elders Moody, Richardson and I had to chase the young women in the ward away but we did great. Wonderful people joined the church there. In Palo Verde, Elders Felt and Allen and I went up and down the apartment buildings and taught many people. The Boscans and Restrepos were great there. I hope all missionaries there realize how lucky they are. I strengthened my testimony, met great people, and gained a deep appreciation for the gospel. |
