I was one of the first four missionaries in Venezuela. I served in both Caracas and Maricaibo. The experience was great. I would not trade it for any other. Elder Manning who is also registered on this site has written a great history of the first years of the mission. A couple of years ago my wife and I attended the dedication of the temple in Caracas. We did not have a lot of baptisms the first year of the mission, and to see the fruits of our labors like this was an amazing experience. My wife was expecially touched by the friendliness and the great spirit of the members in Venezuela. |
