Al finalizar este año 1999

Diciembre 1999

Queridos amigos,

. . . . . . .

Los recordamos mucho siempre,

Presidente Teodoro Hoffmann y Hna. Hoffmann

December 1999

Dear friends,

When finalizing the year 1999 we want to salute you and to express our love and esteem to you, to wish very a very Merry Christmas and a new year full of hopes and accomplishments. Also we want to tell a little about our lives and also request that you tell us what has gone on and what you are doing.

This year we have enjoyed varied experiences in the family, the Church and at work. As far as the family there was an interchange of children, Alexito and Laura with their beautiful babies Maria Sofia (3) and Rebequita (2), and another one (Angelica Wake) to be born in December, were moved to Utah in April, because Alex wants to continue studying. Alex is in the honors program, so you that can imagine that it is a work of the 24 hours (almost). We were sent to Utah in February by the Compania Natures Sunshine Products (NSP) to the plant, and Alex I took the opportunity to run his errands at the University and the house. Soon we visited to them in October and we were there for general conference, the last in the historic tabernacle. It was very special, and we took the opportunity to meet with some of you.

In exchange for Alexito, Rudy and its family, Liliam, Jonathan (13), Katherine (9) and Stephanie (4) have returned to Valencia. We are very glad. Rudy is already member of the stake high council and Liliam is president of primary of el Barrio Los Sauces.

Teo and his children, Christopher (9), Cristinita (6) and Celine Juliette (2) were visiting us on vacation, and we enjoyed very much seeing them and sharing with them. Aileen did not come is time. They are happy in Miami. They have a beautiful new house. But we try not worry with each storm and hurricane.

And our daughter Monica, her husband Mauricio and their children Daniela (5), Cristian (3) and Ariana (1) are here in Valencia working hard in the Church and at NSP also. Monica directs the stake choir and enjoys that opportunity very much.

My mother and my stepfather are both well, with their excuses of age, but very strong and in the middle of everything, healthy.

This year we had the opportunity to travel to Italy as a prize from Company NSP along with a group of leaders, among them Rudy and its wife and took the opportunity to visit Rome, Naples, Milan, Venice and to travel to the border with Switzerland. It was a very beautiful trip.

In October we participated in the national convention of NSP in Cancun, Mexico with a group of 300 people of Venezuela. It was fantastic. We cannot complain as far as trips, and abundance of blessings from the Lord. That is why we take pains in fulfilling our calls, Teo as stake president, and I as stake primary president, also volunteer work at the family history center, transcribing data to the PAF, which I enjoy very much.

As have heard in the news, the nation of Venezuela suffered a catastrophe of great magnitude. There are 20,000 dead and unknown thousands of people without a home. We have also been collaborating, and we are thankful of the aid that is arriving from all parts of the world.

Also we are close to the dedication of our temple in Caracas. We are anxiously waiting for that day and we want as many of you as can to be here. Blake Christensen has already confirmed to us that he will come with his wife and we are planning to have a reunion with the missionaries of Venezuela who served with us. If some of you are animated, you would communicate with us and we will be happy to receive you.

In closing, we want to express our love and to wish you much happiness this Christmas. We plan to maintain contact in the new millenium, since we are definitively on the Internet.

We always remember you very much

President Teodoro Hoffmann and Sister Hoffmann
