My wife and I have been happily married since 2001. We live in Inuvik, Northwest Territories, a community of about 3500 people. We are expecting our first child and are really excited because it has taken 6 years and we were infact planning to adopt. Miracles truly do happen in our day and age! Keep the faith all!
I graduated from Lakeland College with a Bachelor or Applied Science in Environmental Management. I have worked as an Environmental Technician at a Military Base, a Open Pit Coal Mine, and an Inspector for the Alberta Gov't Public Lands Dept. Currently I am working for the Federal Gov't - Indian and Northern Affairs Canada as a Water Resource Officer.
I have a really neat job doing inspections of local communities/camps and oil/gas operations(drilling, seismic etc) having to do with water and waste. I get to fly around in helicopters, take small planes to remote communities and also use snowmobiles/boats to get around. I am also a volunteer with the local Coast Guard Auxillary and have done a couple Search and Rescues. Life in our part of the world is very isolated with just one long 750km(~400miles) gravel/dirt/mud road to our community of about 3500 people. In fact we have full church meetings all by ourselves b/c not many members here.
