I learned about the Church in Snohomish, Washington back in 1983. I received a Book of Mormon on Valenine's Day and was baptized a month later on March 14, 1983. This year I celebrated my 25th anniversary as a member.
I served in the Japan Okayama Mission and was married in the Seattle Temple.
Three elders taught the discussions to me along with the Nelson Family and the Snohomish Ward, but I only remember two of the elders' names - Elder Bunnell and Elder Warnick.
I now live with my family in beautiful Laie, Hawaii right next door to the temple. I can hardly wait for my son to be a fulltime missionary.
Aloha!

LDS QUOTE:
"You are a great army of returned missionaries. Go forward with new zeal and determination, and through your example shine the light of the gospel in this troubled world. This is the Lord's work in which we are engaged. God lives. Jesus is the Christ. We belong to His Church. This is my witness to you in the name of Jesus Christ, amen."
- Elder L. Tom Perry
Ensign, Nov. 2001
