I am the daughter of President J. Donal Earl and Sister Jeanne Earl. As the youngest, I was blessed to be the only one left at home when my father served as mission president of La Mision Chilena 1969-1972. I was 14 years old when we came to Chile in July of 1969. I remember the warmth and friendliness of the office staff and the members. I was the most blessed of teenaged girls to have so many handsome big brothers and delightful big sisters! I've kept in touch with a few of the elders and sisters and have even run into a few in the strangest of places! I still live in Arizona, have been married 36 years and have 4 children and 9 grandchildren. My Spanish is a bit rusty, but I love to converse with anyone tolerant enough to listen. My dear parents have passed on now, but I know they would be THRILLED at the progress of the Church in their beloved Chile. I think I will starting saving my escudos now to come to this 50th reunion! |
