Comments:
I returned home in April of 1990 and married James McQuivey in November of 1990. (We had met 7 years earlier in the high school play when we were cast as Romeo and Juliet). As part of BYU's Lamanite Generation, we went on an Eastern Europe tour, enabling us to stay on and revisit the Bordeaux mission as newlyweds. The Andersens gave us some wonderful advice about starting family traditions and the importance of having a lot of music in the home. I taught first grade for 1 year before we had children. We have migrated from Provo to South Carolina to Syracuse New York, and finally to Boston where we've lived for the past 7 years. We have 5 children, 4 boys and 1 girl. James teaches writing and research classes at Boston University and does consulting and writing on the side. As a stay-at-home mom I volunteer frequently at the schools as a way to get a "teaching fix." I have not been able to attend any of the mission reunions except the first one. But in April of 2005, I got together with the Bayonne Gang (members included Soeur Zerangue, Elder Edmunds, and Elder Rash and myself) for an utterly blissful reunion. We ate crepes and rejoiced in all being together for the first time in 15 years! Salut!
