Recent key epiphany: The most important things we can do with our lives is to have children and help this beautiful garden survive. Teaching our children the value of science is a key to our future survival.
Lost 100+ lbs. in 2004. Found no suitable women nearby still willing to have kids. Pursued various Eastern European options. Came to my senses and continued contact with a sensible woman from China. Married. Met my wife via a friend who also has a Chinese wife. Met friend & his wife via local secular advocacy group.
Our favorite places & recent visits: Utah Museum of Natural History, hiking, Wheeler Farm, Tracy Aviary, Farmington Creek Trail, Antelope Island, Mesa Verde National Park, Oregon coast & Portland. Topaz War Relocation Center near Delta. Southern China (Guangxi province), including Nanning & Fusui County.
Favorite authors: Carl Sagan, Daniel Dennett, Christopher Hitchens, & Richard Dawkins.
Social & political views: Politically & economically a "liberal hawk." Family life has turned me into more of a social moderate. |
