Returned home and entered BYU where I continued my education. There I met Denise Malmberg from Los Altos CA and we got married in 1966. Graduated from BYU that same year and began teaching at Pleasant Grove High School, (Utah) where I directed plays and taught in addition Spanish and English and even 2 years to German.(my starting salary was $4000 per year). After ten years went to Payson Utah and taught two years at the high school directing plays and teaching speech and English. The transferred to the Junior High where I taught mostly Spanish. Have directed and been involved in many plays including took the lead in South Pacific and Camelot for the Payson Community Theatre. One summer went on the road with Saturday's Warrior playing the dad and acting as the assistant director. Have been in a few Church movies. Have traveled often to Mexico with my Spanish classes. Family: two children Erika Denise (Secretary for State Farm in Payson )and Bryce David (Recruiter for Provo College). and now 6 grandchildren. I have held many callings including Bishop. My wife just retired and Sunday, June 24, 01 we hand in our papers to the Stake Pres. for a mission. in the meantime Denise and I are going to Cuernavaca Mexico (with Elder Phil Anderson) to enroll her in some immersion classes. for a month. WE are both retired teachers. We hope our mission will be one of many to come. |
