Many will remember me as "Downtown" Elder Brown, or Elder Cafe as I served in downtown El Paso for 8 months. Even though there were hard times I have very fond memories of my mission. I can't believe it's been 17 yrs since I finished. I also served with Elder Camarena, Elder Giles, and Elder White, among others....I have been married for 15 yrs now and have 4 children, 1 boy and 3 girls ranging in ages from 13 down to 6yrs old as of 2008. I many times wonder where everybody is, Elders, members, and just people I knew in the mission. I hope everyone is doing good. I'm still practicing Spanish (my wife is originally from Puebla, Mexico and I get to practice with her) and attend the Spanish branch here in California. We're big into tennis, in fact we'll be flying to El Paso this weekend (June 27th, 2008) as my son is a natonally ranked player and is in a tournament there. I can't wait to see my old stomping grounds. I probably won't remember a soul there now though (I'm not very good at keeping in touch, although I think I could have been better if we'd had internet and emails back then). It would be cool to hear from anyone who remembers me........Adios...........Glen Brown |
