I married Cheryl Whitmer in the Mesa Temple in August 1996. We're the proud parents of five beautiful children: Kate (14), Kyrsten (14), Annika (10), Lars (7), and Matthias (2). Our little family has lived and worked in various places over the years, including Taiwan, Portugal, Brazil, Macau, Connecticut, Colorado, and most recently Lexington, Kentucky, where I'm a history professor at the University of Kentucky. (My teaching and research focuses on early modern Portugal and colonial Brazil.) We're about an hour south of Cincinnati and an hour east of Louisville, so if anyone is ever in the area please be sure to look us up! |
