Since finishing a PhD in literature and creative writing at U of Houston in 1993, I've been employed by the BYU English Department. I live in Springville, with my lovely artist spouse, Jacqui, who served a mission in Lima, Peru. We have four kids---boy, girl, boy, girl---and count ourselves lucky to have spent 2005 in London as co-directors of a Study Abroad Program. After various enjoyable stints in Primary, Young Mens, and the Elders' Quorum, I currently teach Gospel Doctrine. I frequently think of my companions and Chilean friends with great fondness and gratitude. And I sometimes publish pieces that grew out of my missionary experience. I'd welcome updates from any former mission companions. |
