Mission Shopping 22 Aug 2008
Hello! I am shopping around for the items in my missionary packet, and I had a question or two for those who have been there. First off, I received a letter from the mission president which added rain boots to the list of things that I need to bring. I would like to get some idea as to what sort of boots may be needed. Does it pour buckets often or is it just your ordinary rain? Also, the list said to bring a sleeping bag or buy one down there. Would I be better off packing one, or will it be easier just to wait and buy? I would genuinely appreciate any information on these questions and/or ANY tips people may have about things to bring or not to bring. Thank you very much!

Hi,

My name is Steve Blackwell, and I served in Santiago South under President Craig Zwick in the early 1990s. I hope you don't mind me contacting you, but I recently received a phone call from Elder Zwick who is very interested in putting a reunion together. He asked that I collect contact information for him. We will subsequently send information back to you about an upcoming reunion once we have something put together.

So, to that end I am writing hoping you contact me with the following information:

Name:

e-Mail:

Address:

Phone number:

Would you be interested in attending a reunion in Salt Lake City, possibly as early as this October?

This information will be given to Elder Zwick and will not be distributed in any way to anyone else. If you have concerns, you are welcome to contact me personally:

If you have an interest in attending, please email Kristin_Adair@byu.edu.

I would also like to catch up with people in some of the areas I served in. If any of you have contacts in Maestranza, Curico, or San Francisco de Mostazal, please let me know.

Queridos misioneros regresados

Presidente Kenneth and Hermana Charlotte Openshaw

LDS QUOTE:
"You are a great army of returned missionaries. Go forward with new zeal and determination, and through your example shine the light of the gospel in this troubled world. This is the Lord’s work in which we are engaged. God lives. Jesus is the Christ. We belong to His Church. This is my witness to you in the name of Jesus Christ, amen."
