| Served: 1983 - 1984 | Areas Served: Rio Claro (CR) Barriada Kuna,Puerto Pilon,Ustupu,Bella Vista. | Companions: William K. Farnbach | Claudio Giovanni López | | Your Occupation: Retired: Seeking employment | | Spouse: P.Janell Monterroso | Comments: When I gaze into the immensity of space, and I look upon the stars of heaven I cannot but wonder in amazement about creation, and how it all began. I think about the ages gone by and realize that life is but a small moment, then if we "endure it well" we shall reap the blessings of that eternal universe that seems unreachable from our window. Our missions may now appear to us, as Jacob recorded: "...as it were unto us a dream..." In time we all shall meet again as missionaries here or on the other side, and I know our friendships will again blossom as if time never went by, Happy New Year.
Elder (Retired) Herbert E. Monterroso
Staff Sergeant, U.S. Army (retired)
Best wishes to all the alumni of the very best mission in the world |

| LDS QUOTE: |
|
"You are a great army of returned missionaries. Go forward with new zeal and determination, and through your example shine the light of the gospel in this troubled world. This is the Lord's work in which we are engaged. God lives. Jesus is the Christ. We belong to His Church. This is my witness to you in the name of Jesus Christ, amen."
