Since 1997 I have worked at the Washoe County Sheriff's office in Reno, NV. Previously I worked as a police officer for the City and County of San Francisco and as a Deputy Sheriff for Santa Clara County in California.
After I returned from my mission I worked for Xidex Corporation in Sunnyvale, CA as a Chemical Technician. Later I worked 3 years at the Post Office
Marlene and I married in August of 1979 after she returned from her mission to Guatemala City from 1977-1979.
Those of you who served in Heredia, Costa Rica will know her family as the Jimenez family of INVU Bernardo Benevides. Her father is Manuel A Jimenez Serrano and her mother is Amalia Coto Bonilla. As of this writing, Dec 2010, both are still alive and in good health.
We have three children, Elisabeth, Dianna, and David.
Elisabeth is 30 and is a sales rep for Varsity/USA Dance in Sacramento and is also the Cheer coach/instructor at Sierra College in Rocklin, CA. She graduated in 2003 from the University of Nebraska in Advertising. While at Nebraska Elisabeth was a two-time NCAA Academic All-American in Diving. She also was a Varsity cheerleader and Student Director of New Student recruitment.
Dianna is 28 and is currently serving in the US Air Force as a Captain in Space and Missiles and is currently stationed in Cheyenne, WY. She attended BYU on a full Air Force scholarship and studied Psychology, graduating in 2005. David is 24 and graduated from the University of Nebraska in Computer Science and Mathamatics in 2010. David is now working as a Software Engineer for Team Financial in Omaha, NE I am a High Priest in my home ward, Vacaville, CA 5th.
I work during the week in Reno and come home on the week-ends. Marlene has worked for the Contra Costa Sheriff's office in Richmond, CA for 20 years thus the reason for our unique living/work arrangements!

LDS QUOTE:
"You are a great army of returned missionaries. Go forward with new zeal and determination, and through your example shine the light of the gospel in this troubled world. This is the Lord's work in which we are engaged. God lives. Jesus is the Christ. We belong to His Church. This is my witness to you in the name of Jesus Christ, amen."
- Elder L. Tom Perry
Ensign, Nov. 2001
