| Comentarios: Hi everyone-- Let's see what do I miss . . . fundas de agua, beans and rice, humble and friendly people, great fresh FRUIT, neat companions, and the list goes on. Goya makes some good substitutes, but nothing like food made fresh for us every day. Just a quick update--I returned from the mission and did my student teaching in the Mormon Colonies in Mexico. After that I finished a Spanish Teaching minor and found a job as a Spanish Immersion teacher with a school on an American military base in Japan. After two years I transferred to Germany and met my husband (the singles rep in the neighboring ward--the singles program really works!). He's in the Navy and will be bringing us back to Japan for his work in Feb 2003 after a short time in Rhode Island. I feel like I've been around the world and back, yet still need to get to more Spanish speaking countries (Spain for 3 weeks this summer wasn't enough). Hope to hear from you! | |
