Presidents: Kenyon A. Wagner (1979 - 1982) | | Served: 1979 - 1981 | Areas Served: Otavalo, Quito, Latacunga, Quevedo | Companions: Robert Charles Davis | Paul J. Geary | Jordan P. Peterson | Scott Sayre | | Your Occupation: Attorney | | Spouse: Ruth | Comments: Except for stints in Logan, Utah and San Francisco, California to attend college and law school, I have resided in Salt Lake City since returning from my mission. I married the wonderful woman who wrote to me on my mission, and we have four sons. The oldest served a mission to Yekaterinburg, Russia and is majoring in Russian at the University of Utah. The second is serving as a missionary in the Guatemala City South mission. I work as the chief operating officer of a title insurance company. My church callings have been varied and rewarding. My wife and I visited Ecuador a few years back. It was great to see wonderful friends, especially those in Otavalo, who we have stayed in contact with over the many years. The granddaughter of President Luis Morales, first president of the Otavalo Stake, spent most of the summer in our home a year ago. Her mother was eight years old when I roamed the Otavalo area those many years ago. Time flies! A great visit was with Sister Luz Marina Campos, an amazing missionary to her people and now the mother of nine children. It is always great to talk to Elder Robert Davis, my companion of a total of nine months in Ecuador, and any other former missionary friends. I had the opportunity to attend the funeral of President Wagner a several years ago. I could not have asked for a better leader, friend, and mentor as a mission president. |
