My comps were Michael Linford (MTC), James Snyder (the best acento (non latino) (the hoopster with or without glasses), Shawn Brock (the soul hunter, fast walker), Julio Burgos (did not like tabasco) {all Tulcan}, Mark Cummings (two week trio - pizza hut?), Owen Allen (6 months of great memories), Whitney Creer - 1 mo tracking comp (all Office), Jorge Laniz (totally dedicated to the work), Rodrigo Moran (boombox man), Mike Rasch (the dentist, my brother intoduced me to 10 years later) & Brandon Dyer (We walked/rocked Quevedo).
I remember the food, ceviches, steaks at Argentinas (Quevedo), menestra, camarones apanados, chifas, mucho arroz, patacones, batidos, guineos (buying a whole stock for 50 cents). Colas a clima. And miss it all!
Remember hearing Hotel California almost everyday.
Meeting awesome humble people that feed you even though they may not have enough for themselves.
When David Johnson (while in Otavalo) metioned his sister was serving in England Coventry Mission with a sister from Bremerton WA, I had no idea who it was. Well, I found out when she got home Jan 89 and We have been married 19 years now (4-14-89). We have 5 children Lee-17, Tim -15, Amy 12 Andrew- 8 and Jacob 6.
