I returned to Germany in Jan 1972, married and in the US Army. I spent the next two years in Swaebisch Gmuend, more than 20 of those as the Branch President for the Servicemen's Branch. I was assigned to the Pershing Missile Battalion. My wife and I got to attend a day at the 72 Olympics in Munich. I finished my three year enlistment at Ft Sill OK and then began a 30 year postal career as a letter carrier in Pocatello ID and finished the last 22 years as the Postmaster in Montpelier ID. I have three children ( the oldest two were born in Germany( and seven grandchildren. I have retired since 2004. Two other former South German missionaries also work for the USPS in eastern Idaho. The church is still true. Alles geht gut. |
