After my mission I completed my schooling at SUU in Cedar City, Utah. Graduated with my degree in Elementary Education. I taught school for 10 years in Roosevelt, Utah. While in Roosevelt I had a wonderful couple who were my home teachers. Their nephew served his mission in the Manchester England Mission where he taught a man by the name of Mervyn Jones. Mervyn promised Elder Davis that he'd come to his wedding which he did. He met this aunt and uncle and was told about me in the course of conversation. So email addresses were exchanged and we began writing and the rest is as we say history. Mervyn and I were married Sept 10 2004 and we live in Llay, North Wales. We're about 12 miles from Chester England. We're in the Chester Stake, Wrexham ward. Mervyn is the ward mission leader. I am a counselor in the Primary presidency. I am now working as a teaching assistant as I try to gain my qualified teaching status here. Mervyn works for Kelloggs and is platoon commander for an army cadet group.
I'm grateful to have served in the Indiana Mission. Hope to hear from of you great Hoosier missionaries, especially my companions and other sister missionary friends. |
