Mission Home Dedicated 08 Mar 2004
I was in the office at the time the new mission home was dedicated. We had a great experience as A. Theodore Tuttle came to conduct the meeting. I was the recording secretary at the time and asked if I could record the prayer for the record. Elder Tuttle thought for a moment and said, "No, I'm not sure what I'll say". I thought, "Nuts". Then I thought, "What could happen, I'll just happen to have it on". I should have listened to the counsel. My tape recorder physically broke, with parts coming out. I huddled the assembled group together after the service and we recorded what we could remember from the prayer. I learned a great lesson about following the counsel of leaders from that, and it's served me well throughout my life. Never have I been disappointed that I followed the counsel. Regards, Randy Rich
