Becky and I were married in 1979 and are parents of four children and a foster son. Upon graduating from BYU in 1980 (Master of Accountancy), we spent six years in Indiana (working for Ernst & Young and United Technologies). In 1986, we moved to Hickory, NC, where I worked for Corning as the controller of their fiber-optic cable division. I retired in March 2013 after 27 years with Corning. In the Church, I have served as a Bishop, on the High Council, and as President of the Hickory, NC Stake. My wife and I are currently serving a mission in New York City North -- we teach Institute, coordinate the BYI-I Pathway program in Manhattan and are temple workers. Our oldest son, John, (mission to Venezuela) received his PhD from Georgia Tech (in EE). He is owner/CEO of a software company in Atlanta. They have three sons and two daughters. Our son Steven (mission to Greece) is a dentist in Mooresville, NC; he and his wife have two daughters. Eric (mission to Taiwan), graduated from BYU (Neurosciences) and is in the bio-engineering PhD program at the Univ. of Utah. Laura is on her mission in Brazil Salvador; she will return to BYU in Fall 2015 (Accounting major). Bill, our foster son, also served a mission in Brazil, graduated from BYU, and is in medical school at the Univ. of Michigan.
