| Comments: Desley and I lived in Jakarta from 1977- 1988, 1991- 1992. We were one of 14 families that first formed the Jakarta English Speaking Branch in April 1978. During that time we lived in 5 different homes. We made many friends and still keep in touch with many of them. While in Indonesia, I worked for Atlantic Richfield as a geophysicist in an office building that overlooked Ratu Plaza. Those were great oil finding years for me personally. After we returned to Canada in 1992, I compiled a short history of the Church in Indonesia as well as a history of the Jakarta English Speaking Branch - approximately 25 copies were sent to old members. We hope that the Church will continue to grow and our prayers are with the Indonesian members there. | |
