13 May 1999 - Jakarta Steffi and I are leaving Friday early morning for Manado. We take Elder Mongan home. His mother passed away last Sunday due to breast cancer for some times. Today we had our ZTM with Sister Hartoto who arrived yesterday morning from Provo MTC. She will be a good sister. Last night, I came home at 1.00 AM from Bandung with two missionaries. We visited a family with three children that will be baptized next Sunday. The father is Indian, and mother from Aceh (used to be strong Moslem). They both became Budhish, but not satisfied. They tried several Christian faith but still not feeling right. Brother Dapalangga, the snake man (he is selling snake meat, liver, snake bag, everything from the snake...) in Bandung became their friend and introduce to the missionaries. We are blessed with this good family to add the strength in Bandung. Their testimony has strengthen mine. We plan to leave Java, Bali and Lombok and back to Jakarta on Tuesday by van with the family. I hope the campaign will be OK for us to take the trip. The church is true...the darkness has been lifted never to return truth forever more..!! Subandriyo |
