Courtesy of Julie Farr: Some missionaries have been here at the Mission Home since all the flooding started because they can’t get to their areas or like Elder Bastian said, their houses are flooded. Some are living at the church in their area. We have had a tent/kitchen set up in the parking lot of the church here in Jakarta since Saturday A.M. They are preparing bags of food and delivering them to the different villages that have been flooded. Yesterday after church we worked and they delivered meals to about 1,500 homeless people. They will continue today and maybe close down by tomorrow depending on the conditions. |
