The Surakarta, Jogja and Semarang temple trip group left Solo Sunday at 3.30 PM. They were all excited for their temple trip. We have known that a few international airlines have canceled their flights due to the Merapi eruption but Cebu Pacific that will bring the temple group did not give any cancellation notice...until 5 PM and we rec'd sad news that Cebu Pacific didn't fly that day ...that broke the hearts of the members after 18 hours of bus trip. Shortly we gathered and discuss what to do. No one got mad...all members decided to returned to Solo that evening and we were able to get them a bus to bring them back home...another 18 hour trip home, and finding themselves still without temple ordinances....that is really sad!! Today, it was decided that they will reschedule their trip Nov 29 - Dec3. Please, pray that they will get on the flight on Nov 29. Mount Merapi eruption has brought trouble to so many people including our faithful saints for their temple trip. Thank you so much for your prayer and support!!! Elder Subandriyo |
