NB $2,070 was delivered to the mission home on Wednesday which will just about cover all of the transportation costs (Jakarta members will provide the rest). Thanks to all who contributed. This week the first senior Indonesian missionary couple entered the Senopati MTC for training. The Associated Press distributed an article about the visit which was front page news in the Salt Lake Tribune yesterday:

The Deseret News then followed with its own front page article yesterday evening. If you know of any other Indonesian folks who would enjoy recieving reports about the prophet's visit please let me know their e-mail addresses or please forward the messages to them.

Selamat malam, The prophet has arrived in Jakarta safely. Steffi and I were invited to his hotel this evening to see him. It was wonderful. He is so strong and bright. Will let you know more news later. Selamat malam. - Pres. Subandriyo
Additional information for President Hinckley's visit is that our old friend Sister Dean (currently Sister Marcia Jackson) will be attending that special conference. "Sister Dean" right now is living in Bangkok as her husband works at US Embassy there. I notice also Dale Storer, one of the first missionaries were willing to come to Jakarta, however, the news came to him is so late, so he could not prepare for his trip to Jakarta. It is always great to have pioneers missionaries present among us during special event. - Hendra Purnawati
