I currently live in Hacienda Heights, California. I married in 1981 to Cheryl Ann Munden and we have 8 children. Our oldest two sons (missions in Panama and Brazil) are married (both in 2006) and my third son is a missionary in Albania. We have five daughters ages 16, 13, 10, 5, 2. I currently serve as the early morning seminary teacher in my ward. I was most recently the bishop of my ward from 2000-2006. The Lord has richly blessed me and I think fondly of the two years I spent in Japan. I was fortunate to go back to Japan in 1991, 1992, 1993 and 1994 when I worked for a Japanese medical clinic in Los Angeles. I have not been back since and have forgotten most of my language skills. I work currently as the Executive Vice President of Advanced Medical Management, Inc. in Long Beach California. I was diagnosed with Chronic Mylogenous Leukemia in June of 2006 and am an outpatient at USC Norris Cancer Hospital where I am responding well to the miracle drug Gleevec. I have no significant side effects and all my blood counts are normal. Hopefully I will stay this way. I am grateful to the inspirations of the Lord that allow medical science to develop cures and treatments for otherwise fatal diseases. My testimony is strong and I feel a great debt of gratitude to the Lord for a wonderful life. |
