I can't believe it has been over 23 years since I got home. II did have a chance to go do on a 2 1/2 week tour in 1990 while in college and perform at the Flower Expo in Osaka. I was also able go to the peace park in Hiroshima, see sumo wrestling in Nagoya, and visit Nagano, Yokohama and Tokyo. Someday I would like to be able to take my wife and kids. I am currently the primary chorister in my ward. I think I am going to teach the primary children how to sing I am a Child of God in Japanese. I don't remember much of my Japanese but occasionally I remember a phrase or two. It fun to speak a word or phrase to my children or students in Japanese and see their reaction. |
