Happy New Year!
We are living in Fort McMurray, Alberta (the northern wastelands of Canada!). We've been here for about a year and a half, and have enjoyed the outdoor winter sports.
I am working for TELUS as a manager for oilsands operations. I have learned a lot and gained great experience. I am serving in elder's quorum and spending more time with my family. I still go to school part-time, and recently came out of retirement with my trombone. I am hoping to rediscover my musical talents this year.
Jacqueline, my loving wife, continues to maintain a home where the Spirit dwells. She has a demanding calling in the ward, but enjoys serving the Lord on a daily basis. Her biggest triumph of 2008 was suggesting and inspiring our family to have scripture study right after dinner, so whoever finishes first gets to start reading.
Gigi, our adorable 6 year old is fantastic and phenomenal! She is wonderful, talented, and has a wisdom beyond her years. Last September she started playing piano, which she has picked up quite quickly. She excels in reading, loves to dance, and is fiercely independent. She is always copying whatever we do, so we are always trying to give her a good example.
