4 years ago, an awesome Elder with whom I served in Koshigaya (my first area & his last area before going home) contacted me after 35 years from our missions--Elder Ronald K. Harmon. His wife, Pam, had passed away from cancer a year earlier. After 35 years I was completely surprised to hear from him. It took 2 1/2 years of courtship, but we were sealed in the Mesa, AZ Temple last March 12, 2016. I had never married. We have had a wonderful 6 months of marriage. Last summer we travelled to Japan to attend the Sapporo Temple Open House. Absolutely beautiful. We also went to church in Koshigaya, where we first met. My first investigator, Sasamoto Keiko, is still there and still VERY active. Such a WONDERFUL experience. Oh...Elder Craig Harmer (who had worked with both of us as missionaries) came to our wedding reception with his wife. We are very happy & would LOVE to hear from old companions & everyone else! |
