| If you were at the Zone Conference where President Didier visited down south in Vegas you will recall a song that Elder Patrick Mallory and Elder Richard Lamoureux sang that sent rivets through all - including President Chapman!
We sang, at eight something in the morning, a song from the messengers of light soundtrack! It was called "Missionary Morning". It was more of a song for a zone activity, not a conference! But we went ahead anyway with the permission of the AP's.
I (Elder Lamoureux) knew that something was wrong just after the song started!!! I was looking at all the Elders and Sisters as Pat and I were singing. Absolute shock and amazement were on their faces! The glances shifted back-and-forth between us singing and where President Chapman and Elder Didier were sitting.
We finished the song and I sank into my seat on the stand. While I did that President Chapman actually ran up to the podium and he wasn't sure what to say! All he could say was, "Elders, I don't know what to say! All I can think of is a scripture .... and he wist not what to say".
Later on that day Elder Mallory and myself said hello to Elder Didier and shook his hand, and all he could say to us was "Elder's, may the Lord be with you."
Quite the memorable story. President Chapman told me later that one day we would both look at this event and laugh!
