Comments:
Currently working and living in Tokyo, Japan. We attend the Shibuya Ward in the Tokyo Stake. Have served as a member of 2 stake presidencies and as a bishop while in Japan. My new calling is as the M.P. of the Fukoka Mission July 2006-July 2009.
Dear Webmaster,
My wife, Jane, and I have been called to preside over the Japan Fukuoka Mission as of July of 2006. I was called to the NFEM in December 1967, under Pres.Komatsu. I also served for a time under Pres Bills and then under
Pres and Sister Okazaki in the Japan -Okinawa Mission. I finished in May of 1970 after having served at Expo 70 in Osaka.

We are extremely honoured, but also humbled, to have been called to serve
as a M P in Japan. While we have lived in Japan for many years, and have served in Japanese wards and stakes, it is still humbling and challenging to be asked to serve the Lord in a call such a Mission President. I loved and have always been in awe of my mission presidents, but to actually been called to serve as an MP is very humbling. In addition, I know so many wonderful former NFEM missionaries who have served as MPs and we are very honoured to be numbered among them. We also know that there are many other more worthy former missionaries who have not yet been called. We are sure that the
Lord has something in mind for all of those who are faithful.

I very much enjoy the information that you provide on the alumnae of the
NFEM and hope that you will pass on our good wishes to all of our fellow
NFEM missionaries.
David and Jane Iwaasa

"Obedience is the price, faith is the power, love is the motive, the Spirit is the key, and Christ is the reason." The motto of the Japan Fukuoka Mission can be applied not only to missionary work, but to everyday life. -BYU President Bateman
