We had a good number of baptisms in Asahigawa in1962, many among high school students, who would now be in their late 50s and early 60s. There were always investigators, and we taught several lessons a week. In the winter the snow went above the windows, and Elder Dave Olsen and R Lewis, along with Elder Bruce Campbell and Elder Kenneth C. Hilton jr, made posters which we later mounted on telephone poles, advertizing Church activities, including Mutual, where we also taught English. Elder Campbell had his appendix out during 1962, and he and I worked as a 3some with Elder Hilton until Elder Campbell was released from the hospital. I believe Elder Steve Lowry was Elder Campbell's predecessor. |
